Choose our firm for your Canadian study permit needs, where our expertise and personalized approach ensure a smooth and successful application process.
To apply for a study permit in Canada, you must have an acceptance letter from a designated learning institution (DLI). A DLI is a school that has received approval from a provincial or territorial government to host international students. All primary and secondary schools in Canada qualify as DLIs. Study permits are required for courses lasting six months or longer, while shorter courses do not necessitate a permit. Once you receive acceptance into a program at a DLI, you can apply for a study permit, ensuring that you meet the various requirements set by visa or immigration officers.
Eligible applicants for a study permit include foreign students accepted into a DLI. Besides the acceptance letter, you must be a law-abiding citizen without a criminal record and not pose a security risk to Canada, potentially providing a police certificate. You should be in good health and willing to undergo a medical exam if necessary. Additionally, you must convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay and demonstrate sufficient funds to cover tuition, living expenses for yourself and any accompanying family members, and return transportation. Financial proof can include a Canadian bank account, Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC), student or education loan documentation, bank statements from the past four months, convertible bank drafts, proof of paid tuition and housing fees, a funding letter, or scholarship documentation.
